A Quiet Weekend

I went for a walk on Saturday with my college buddy Laura. She works here with the CBC so we got together, went for a walk in Victoria park, (right along the harbour--the water was like a sheet of glass) and then we went for lunch. It was nice to catch up.

I spent a lot of time cleaning this weekend. I also am trying to set up appointments to see the people I want to see when I come home next weekend.

Something I have noticed about Islanders. They are so nice--and yet they don't realize by being nice they are breaking the law. Constantly when driving, people stop traffic while they are driving to let someone turn. So say I am going down University Ave, suddenly buddy in front of me will stop to let someone on one of the streets that cross turn either left or right. This happens all the time! And its crazy. Some stupid woman almost got hit today making illegal left turn into traffic because the guy in front of me stopped to let her turn. It's very hard to explain...but it happens so much here, and no one in Ontario does that. 1. Because they don't give a crap 2. Because it is illegal!

What's Been Going On

-Since Christmas, I have thrown out the Christmas tree
-gained 2-3 pounds, and now have to lose 1 1/2 pounds
-January is supposed to be quiet in radio-NOT HERE!
-I've been to see a show of 3 East Coast artists (Megan Blanchard, Katie McGarry, &Catherine McLelland) that was mixed with a pie competition. Did not eat pie. Enjoyed watching the artists.
-Have decided I am going to Newfoundland in June for a trip. Very excited.
- I have been curling. Just when I think I am getting better, I suck. When I think I suck I have a good rock throw. I don't know the terms, I barely know the rules, but I don't care.
- I go home next week. Looking forward to seeing family and friends.
- I am reading a book called 45 Things You Do that Drive your boss crazy. So far a lot of my staff have done about 80 per cent of the book.
-odd thing about PEI. Every Monday since the week before Christmas there has been some sort of storm. Only on Mondays.
