A Quiet Weekend

I went for a walk on Saturday with my college buddy Laura. She works here with the CBC so we got together, went for a walk in Victoria park, (right along the harbour--the water was like a sheet of glass) and then we went for lunch. It was nice to catch up.

I spent a lot of time cleaning this weekend. I also am trying to set up appointments to see the people I want to see when I come home next weekend.

Something I have noticed about Islanders. They are so nice--and yet they don't realize by being nice they are breaking the law. Constantly when driving, people stop traffic while they are driving to let someone turn. So say I am going down University Ave, suddenly buddy in front of me will stop to let someone on one of the streets that cross turn either left or right. This happens all the time! And its crazy. Some stupid woman almost got hit today making illegal left turn into traffic because the guy in front of me stopped to let her turn. It's very hard to explain...but it happens so much here, and no one in Ontario does that. 1. Because they don't give a crap 2. Because it is illegal!

  1. I noticed the same thing when I moved to NS! The driver's are ridiculous and what they deem curtious is just dangerous!
